About the Author
MEET PAT ALACQUA
I learned how businesses work before knowing what business was. I grew up watching my grandfather keep a grocery store going and my mom manage a motel for him at the Jersey Shore. Absorbing the rhythm of people who built something and kept it open every single day. That’s where the instinct started.
Not long after finishing high school, I was already in it, building a small residential concrete business with my cousin.
At 24, I co-founded a trade show and events company. Grew it into an internationally recognized brand, and sold it to a private equity group.
Then did it again in a completely different industry. Turning around a sports academy that was hemorrhaging cash and building it into a nationally recognized program from the inside out.
Every one of those chapters taught me the same thing. Growth creates a specific set of problems, and those problems follow a pattern.
The stories in this book come from years of standing right where you’re standing now. Navigating growth, solving problems that don’t come with a playbook, and learning what it takes to keep moving forward.
